After these lines , Da’ T.R.U.T.H. talked about him getting off the stage and a girl walking up to him saying with tears in her eyes, I don’t wanna live no more , another girl that grew up in the church also came to meet him saying , she doesn’t know what she believes.
Da’ T.R.U.T.H. was trying to emphasise that there are weightier matters to address and people to minister to , not just talking bad behind our fellow Christians.
With KB on this track that is titled after a line from the Batman movie The Dark Knight, at a scene when the Joker sarcastically put forward a question “Why so serious?” and then he went on a murder spree.
Da’ T.R.U.T.H. tries to relate the scenario in the movie The Dark Knight. Da Truth here is trying to say that “So Serious” is what Christians should be about their environment and happenings around.
Da’ T.R.U.T.H. still asked Rhetorically .. Still need a reason why?
He dressed like the Joker and Shot up in the movies and innocent people died
With a reflection to the incident of a shooter, James Holmes, who had his hair dyed and face painted to look like that of the Joker, and went into the cinema during the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012 injuring scores of people and killed a dozen others.
Church Shooting and these campus shooters. Media , They would not call it hate ,They just keep saying it’s Mental illnessPeople are panicking, they need us to answer that ,If I don’t put truth in my music ,they could go to the streets and get itSo why are we so serious, Life is too troublesome People are dying of hunger and thirst, so why should I give them bubble gum I wish I could dumb it down, but I don’t want their blood on my hands … I just want them to see the son of God
The song reflects on the mass shooter, James Holmes, who dyed his hair to emulate the Joker, injured 59 people and killed 12 others in a Colorado showing of The Dark Knight Rises.
The Joker ultimately appealed to a rejection of absolute truth and morality as a justification of the mayhem he createdFrom a Christian worldview, the evil and brokenness in our world can’t be separated from the rejection of a pursuit of goodness, truth and ultimately of God. Why so serious? Because if it is true that the Earth is a battleground between Good and Evil than being on the sidelines is impossible and being on the right side is really serious. – rberry.
