Yo! Are you a lover of art, poetry and rhymes? Then Rhyme and Reason Concert 2016 ; The Excision; is where you have to be on

June 11 at 4pm! The venue is The Dome, Lekki, Lagos. Rhyme and Reason is a platform, through which people can creatively

express themselves, highlighting issues that affect them, with a view to proposing solutions by creating a positive

narrative. We use the growing art form referred to as “Spoken Word” to give voice to our passion, share our experiences, and

hopefully find common ground that is beneficial to all.

This year’s theme is The Excision; and it promises to be an enlightening encounter, with the words of truth to cut out and remove

whatever diseased mind-set we have gotten acquainted with.

In 2014, amazing international artistes like Grammy-award nominee, Da T.R.U.T.H, Ezekiel and Janette…ikz shook us out of our reverie.

This year’s concert will be even better and;super lit; as four of the best international Spoken Word and Rap artistes take us on a

journey we would never forget. We have Jackie Hill-Perry, a writer and artist whose work has been featured on The Washington

Times, Desiring God, The Gospel Coalition and other online publications. Since being saved from a lifestyle of homosexual, sin

and the like, Jackie has been compelled to share the light of gospel truth through poems that have reached over one million views

on YouTube. Other rap and Spoken Word artistes like Preston Perry, Ezekiel, Janette..ikz alongside our local artistes would

sharing their art with us. This year’s concert is a free event, however registration is required as limited seats are available.
