One word which can be used in describing talented Nigerian artiste Limoblaze would be hardwork, the exact quality that has brought him to his present position in the music industry. His consistency in music can’t be compared to any as he keeps putting in work and never relents in churning out great music.

Limoblaze who has unarguably been the biggest Christian hip hop artist out of Nigeria in the past few years has been enjoying the ride and still delivering hits, getting features with big artistes outside the country and doing well with it.

Limo who’s still enjoying the success of his last project ‘Afrobeats, Rap & Jesus’ (ARJ) which presently has over 2.5 million views on all platforms has yet again delivered another huge masterpiece with ‘The Wait’ EP.

In a time where the world is trying to combat corona virus, Limoblaze has thought it well to gift music lovers with new tune to remind them of God’s unending love regardless of the present harsh moment.

Unconditional
The Wait EP kicks off with ‘Unconditional’, a very good pick by Limoblaze to start the project with. The track is a different sound from a usual Limoblaze song. Unconditional has urban female singer ‘Naffymar’ and ‘Olachi’ deliver guest verses with their unique voices as they both express God’s love.

Confidence

This is the coolest track on the EP. Limoblaze brings on Ghanaian acts Edem Evangelist & Kingzkid on this song as they display their lyrical dexterity.

The track reiterates their trust in God regardless of the current storm being faced. Putting their faith in he that does not fail even when all things fall apart.

Tell God
This is a different kind of vibe on its own and trust me you’ve never seen this version of Limoblaze. A fast tempo track bringing back the azonto dance feeling, Limoblaze definitely kills this track. He encourages one to put God first and place all requests before him and you’ll never get ashamed.

No Longer Stressing
This is the only song on the project released as a single. No Longer Stressing has the best intro I have heard in recent times, there’s no way you’ll listen to it and not bump immediately.

Limoblaze puts his vocal strength to work on this jam while Zambian rapper ‘Pompi’ balances it with killer lines. When you have God and trust in him, you have less stress, that’s the message of the track.

Thoughts

Limoblaze keeps raising the bar high in every single/project he releases, his music growth is very evident in all of his songs. If continued, he’ll break more bounds and even get more attention in the mainstream than he presently has. The fact that he has been able to switch from rapping to singing easily keeps being fun loving.

The year 2020 is just getting started for Limoblaze as he has made a good impression with ‘The Wait’ EP where he sampled different sounds away from the usual afrobeats.
