Listen to the Interview with MGP below.

Jeremiah Ajiboye: Okay MGPreach, What brought about the name, what’s the motivation behind the name Machine Gun Preacher,  what’s the thought?
MGP:Okay, actually the name came out of my ideology towards Christian Music when I just came into the faith. My intention is to actually speak the truth no matter how raw it is, or how bitter it might be to the hearts of some people,  that’s why I gave myself that name.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: How has your journey been in Christian Hip-hop, were you saved before you started?
MGP: I got saved before I started Christian Hip-hop Music, It’s been good.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: Were you doing music (Christian or not)  before you got saved.
MGP: Yes actually b,ut not professionally.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: What made you start CHH  what was the motivation
MGP: Actually,  i knew I could do music, good music, I got saved,  and I felt like using my talent to preach the gospel would actually help me a lot, and it’s actually what God wants me to do,  I also listen to a lot of artists like Trip Lee, Lecrae, I was more about using my gifts for God,  I felt less of myself when I look at these guys,  I just had to do the right thing. using my gifts for God.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: Who are your greatest influences in Christian Hip-hop, Like someone that you follow real well?
MGP: Internationally I’ll say Andy Mineo, he’s the guy I listen to unstoppably, I listen to him on a daily, then back in the country,  I  look up to Gamie, Limoblaze,  Spillz, Boomsha, and a whole lot although they are my folks I give them the respect.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: Looking at Nigerian CHH scene, we’re evolving,  and refining our sound,  What positive change do you want to see in Nigerian CHH?
MGP: What I’m anticipating and really looking forward to is Unity,  that’s how we can break borders.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: Are you signed to any record label , or do you intend running one soon,   because  most record labels  are run by people who know the industry or are artists themselves,  that’s why we have a Flame on Clear Sight,  Bizzle on God Over Money,  Lecrae on Reach Records,  Da Truth on Xist,  JSon on Lamp Mode, Derek Minor on Reflection Music Group,  etc.
MGP: Currently I’m unsigned,  but I don’t know what the future holds and  well possible I run my label,  .
Jeremiah Ajiboye: About your album,  I listened to Your Lane and been jamming it daily since it dropped,   what’s it about your Lane,  I cam see some minor interpretations from the album art.
MGP: What inspired Your lane,  it was actually from the heart,  I was actually under pressure then,  I left my work and then  hit the studio,  met my producer YungZil,  so I literally  did the song on the spot.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: Shout out to Yungzil. for solely producing this album, except a track , looking at The Living Legend Album,  what Characteristics of God are you trying to portray with the album.
MGP: It’s about his eternal existence, Jesus is a Legend that’s not  dead,  not like the other legends Pharaohs,  The Ancient Kings of the Roman Empire. So it’s all about his super legendary status.
Jeremiah Ajiboye: You have a  lot of guests on your album we are definitely looking forward to it,  It’s dropping on June 10.
