Breaking forth from the norm, Toronto rapper, Dru Bex and New Jersey female emcee, Kay Sade have combined intellectual forces to present their album, ‘UFO TOFU’. These two independent artists took a different turn from the usual to deliver a unique and creative sound in Christian Hip-Hop.
Like Dru Bex described, the entire 11-track UFO TOFU album is a call that as Christians, we are called to be ‘in the world, but not of it’. He said, “this will definitely be the most creative project in my catalogue.”
“Each track is a palindrome, meaning it can be read the same from front to back or back to front. It kind of reminds us of how we serve the same God whether you start in the Old Testament and end in the New Testament, or you decide to start with Jesus in the New Testament and then go back to see how everything was set up in the Old Testament. As the album’s intro says, God is the same from everlasting to everlasting, backwards and forwards.” Dru Bex explains.
